One of the most iconic crus in Tuscany, Viti di Livio (Livio’s vines) takes its name by the vines planted in 1973 by the farm bailiff who assisted the Socci family for 3 generations: as Paolo Socci says, Livio was not a simple farmer, he was an incredibly knowledgeable man and he became so involved in the family’s farm that he became part of the Socci family and legacy. This wine, despite the small production, is known as one of the best Sangiovese in all Tuscany for its quality and complexity. Intense and rich, with notes of maraschino cherry, black currant, dried violet, orange blossom, tobacco, leather, dark chocolate, with a balsamic touch and an earthy note of underbrush mushroom. Palate is broad, intense, refined and elegant. With an ecstatic crescendo of aromas such as black currant and mushroom that leads to a perfectly integrated tannin and a never-ending finish of the finest quality.
