Lunadoro Nobile Riserva 'Il Quercione' 2013

With the selection of Vino Nobile "QUERCIONE", we enter into the category of the limited wine production. This interesting wine is perfectly matched between tradition and modernity, elegance and intensity, infact less than five thousand bottles are produced. Despite being a relatively young wine its road to maturity is still long. Like all the oak trees have roots firmly planted in the ground next to that fruity aromas of blueberries and pleasant fume' notes, it carries the heat of the moist earth of the undergrowt and humus with itself. It is an elegant and deep wine that can give big emotions if opened at least half an hour before. The flavour is characterized by a large harmony, round and refined tannins alongside with an aftertaste that leaves its mark for persistence and intensity. It is a wine difficult to forget.

HARVEST PERIOD: First ten days of October

HARVEST TIPE: Manual

VINIFICATION AND AGING: Controlled temperature vinification in stainless steel container, aging part in big French oak barrels and part in small French oak barrels (barrique) for 24 months. The wine is aged in the bottle for at least 36 months.

FOOD SUGGESTIONS: First dishes with structured sauces such as Pappardelle with wild boar, red meat, perfect with Florentine steak. Also with very mature cheese, such as Pecorino from Pienza.
