Gaetano Salvioni, with his unkempt beard, looks like
one member of the band ZZ Top. Owner of one of smallest wineries in Montalcino, Albatreti, Gaetano makes great
Sangiovese in an area surrounded by forest where the soil is rich in water. I love the authenticity of his wines, this
Rosso di Montalcino is basically a Brunello that has been released on the market 2 years earlier. Extremely palatable,
fresh yet deep and complex: wine is vibrant, has a rock’n’roll structure and a great rhythm that reminds the iconic ZZ Top song "La Grange". Both the song and the wine are in my personal playlist when I need a tune or a Sangiovese to
